Return and Refund Policy

All returns require a Return Authorization. To initiate a return authorization, please contact us.

We will accept purchases from RTRhobby authorized merchants within 30 days of receipt.

Standard return policy

  1. Items must be in new and unused condition with original packaging.
  2. Installing and running fuel through a model engine, installing radio components in a model, cutting balsa wood from a kit, installing software, or discarding packaging materials and physically damaged products are some examples of what constitutes used goods.
  3. We cannot reimburse return shipping costs.
  4. We do not accept returns via cash on delivery or any other collection method. COD packages will be rejected.
  5. Packages returned without authorization may be returned to the sender.
  6. Fuel tanks, lithium-ion (LiIon), lithium polymer (LiPo) and lead-acid (Pb) batteries may not be returned to us due to shipping regulations.
  7. Nickel or alkaline batteries that have been opened, used or charged may not be returned to us. There is no restocking fee for eligible returns.

 

Once we receive the item and verify its resalable condition, we will issue a refund or. Depending on the item, it will take 1-3 days after we receive the item. If there is a delay we will contact you.

 

Please note that all packages returned to us due to customer failure to pick up/accept or pay customs fees will be processed. Refunds will be subject to reduced handling and shipping charges.

Package damage claim

If you have received your order but the package was damaged in transit, please contact us immediately (within 48 hours of receiving the package). Customers with damaged packages can file a claim directly with us. We will most likely require the damaged product to be shipped back to us for verification. We may also ask to take photos of damaged packaging and/or parts for inspection. Photos of damaged goods will help us speed up the process and provide a better solution.

Lost package claim

If you have not received your order and think your package may have been lost, please contact us. All packages shipped by RTRhobby are 100% insured for the package value. If your package does get lost, we will replace it, credit your account for the full amount, or provide you with a full refund on your order.

NOTE: RTRhobby is not responsible for return shipping, nor for any fees associated with return shipping.

Return of defective goods

If you receive a defective item, please contact customer service immediately by phone, email, or online chat. Most manufacturers allow us to handle warranties in-house. In some cases, the manufacturer or supplier may prefer to deal with the problem directly. If the manufacturer is unable to handle your claim to your satisfaction, please contact us and we will be happy to assist you.

 

Return address

Please always contact us before returning any product, we are not responsible for goods sent without prior notification. We can tell you how to mark your package so it can be processed promptly, which is very important.
